The Monumental team had a data warehouse, but needed guidance on how to leverage its power by making data insights accessible to all team members, regardless of skills. They also needed a tool that would help predict future fan behavior based on previous actions.
Combining the technologies of SSB and Alibaba Cloud, Monumental launched its Fan Insight Platform, a cloud-based segmentation tool that allows Monumental to efficiently group, query, and segment nearly three million fan profiles. Through nearly 800 fan profile tags, any team member can easily mine the data to target groups.
The wealth of data insights from the platform resulted in several quick wins including (but not limited to), a 20% increase in Wizards single-game ticket sales, over 10,000 bundled offers (food and beverage and tickets) from Wizards and Capitals games, and a 265% increase in sales-focused emails with a 153% increase in open rates, and a 95% increase in clicks.
