Tarleton to use SSB’s Central Intelligence for Advancement platform to maximize fundraising revenue, enhance marketing strategy, and utilize analytics for data-driven decision making
Denver, CO (January 12, 2020) — Tarleton State University has contracted with SSB for its Central Intelligence for Advancement platform, a data offering for universities and colleges designed to boost revenue potential and fundraising efficiency. Tarleton will use the platform to drive fundraising levels by increasing the number of donors, gift sources, gift size, and cleaning up donor data to provide them with more accurate information.
To enhance marketing strategy, Tarleton will utilize the personalization, segmentation, and automation capabilities for fundraising campaigns. Analytics and reporting on SSB’s platform will guide prospect research and communications, and the platform will update donor databases with accurate contact, demographic, employer, and wealth data.
Equipped with smaller budgets and fewer staff than those in the Power 5, schools like Tarleton State are working harder than ever to drive donor count, to create a pipeline of major gift donors, and secure matching gifts whenever possible while simultaneously delivering authentic, personalized outreach to their constituents.
The Central Intelligence for Advancement platform offers three main components: a data management platform that unites, cleans, segments and reports on data across multiple sources; a matching gift program that identifies opportunities, automates follow up and tracks completion; and a wealth screening tool from SSB Partner Blueridge Data that offers insight into donor wealth demographics. This comprehensive solution transforms how higher education institutions approach fundraising by allowing for highly targeted and personalized marketing efforts to develop relationships and yield revenue.
“The Central Intelligence for Advancement platform will allow us to do things at Tarleton that we’ve never been able to do before, providing us with the tools to grow our fundraising to new levels while also creating new and innovative ways to engage our constituents,” explains Gabe Cagwin, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Tarleton State. “We look forward to developing new and deeper relationships with our donors, supporters, and fans by offering unprecedented levels of service and engagement.”
SSB has served the higher education market for over 10 years, working with over 2,000 colleges and universities to strengthen revenue streams, data systems and fundraising efforts.
“We remain dedicated to the success of higher education institutions and honored to have Tarleton State University on board as a partner,” explains Mike Banville, CEO of SSB. “This solution was specifically designed to address several pain points our advancement clients experience around fundraising and outreach.”
The Central Intelligence for Advancement platform gives higher education professionals the system they need to apply a relevant and timely approach to fundraising interactions that is built on a mastered golden record.
“We are excited to have Tarleton State University as a partner and support their efforts to advance their fundraising revenue through the strategic use of data,” states Steve Hank, SSB’s Senior Vice-President for Collegiate Athletics and Higher Education. “We created this new solution to help universities and colleges maximize the tools at their disposal while also upgrading the level of service and attention they can provide to each individual constituent.”
